This was such a swoony read. I have not read the rest of this series and still really enjoyed this as a standalone without feeling lost or confused. I enjoyed the banter and found family aspect of the story. Nik and Isabella are so sweet. I loved that she stood up for herself and fought for those she loved. I loved how head over heels Nik is and the ways he shows it. I enjoyed their relationship so much and that they talked through disagreements. No misunderstanding in this one
