Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo
4.0
A review for this book almost feels redundant - As the climax to what is essentially a seven-book series, at least four or five of which the majority of readers will have read, you are almost certainly coming to this liking some combination of characters, world, and Leigh Bardugo's style. In that case, you're in luck! Bardugo's style has only developed over the course of her Grishaverse books, and Rule of Wolves greatly benefits both from her comfort with her own YA style and from the number of existing relationships and character dynamics coming into it. Some well-executed twists and developments, nice character moments, and a cast featuring near enough every major surviving character from the last six books (even where it feels a bit contrived) contribute to make this a fitting culmination to Bardugo's Grishaverse. For now.
