3.5 stars, maybe. Maybe 4? I'm so confused.

It's been a long time since the end of a book changed my mind this way. While this was at time very obvious and a little ham-handed, I was enjoying it. It was sometimes thoughtful, sometimes whacky, and it was led by an interesting mystery at the heart of it. And then the end and I'm truly not sure how I feel.

I need to let this settle....
