I think V. E. Schwab and I are just not friends. I find myself soo bored with her plots and the characters annoy me so much.
I liked Addie at the beginning and I liked Luc. What really ruined the book for me was Henry. He annoyed me so much with all his self pity. They acted like Luc was the bad one but in the end they made their deals willingly.
I hated the romantic relationship between Addie and Henry because she didn't even love him and I feel like they only spend time together because he remembers her and his curse doesn't work on her. There is no chemistry whatsoever. It felt like V. E. Schwab forced a romance into the story where there wasn't a need for one. A friendship would've made a lot more sense in my opinion and would've felt more honest.
The only thing I enjoyed were Addie and Luc's relationship which turned into something weird and manipulative in the end.
In addition to that, whole thing with getting Henry a second chance made me SO angry because he made his choice and in my opinion he should live with that or in this case die with that lol <\spoiler>
Honestly I'm just disappointed and a little bit angry. Thank you for listening to my ramblings I will go find a happier book now
