This was such a fun read! The premise was quite unique and the world building was very good. I especially enjoyed the pace at which questions were answered in this book. Each time I started to question an aspect of the story a character voiced that question as well, letting the reader know we would get answers and showing just how much the author had thought about this world.
The character relationships in this book were a highlight for me as well. The female friendships specifically stood out to me. While there were love interests in the story, the friendships between the women really solidified their characters and showed insight into who they were. The one relationship that did fall a little flat for me was Victoria and Graham. It felt more like we were being told there was chemistry but not really seeing it, unlike Roz and Oscar who felt much more like a believable couple.
Overall, this was a really fun read and I am excited for the sequel!
