I like the premise of this book, but it uses very flowery language at the beginning and then by the end they’re trying to write words phonetically without using the banished letters, and it just made my head hurt.
I didn’t end up reading every single word of this book. I read probably the first 10 pages or so, and then skimmed. I read enough to follow the plot. Speaking of which, Georgeanne’s death seemed very callous and wholly unnecessary for the plot.
I wanted to like this book, but it’s not for me.
