I appreciate how honestly this book portrays the slippery experience trauma, addiction, abuse and healing can be.
How imperfect we can be during those college years, when our brains are still developing as we navigate independence, adulthood and relationships. Big stuff we’re bound to mess up from time to time.
But in the middle of it all are wonderful love stories. Yes, between the two main characters, but also the people around them. The web of love kept reaching, trying, connecting and tugging in ways so many of us have felt.
Great examples of mental health support, intervention, giving others the space for autonomy and growth. And hope.
