Token of a Wolf by Cara Blaine
4.0
This was my first Cara Blaine book and I’m glad she’s currently writing the next one in the duology so I have time to go back and read the Luxe trilogy!
Despite the first few slow chapters, this was fast paced and had lots of action. I liked the balance of plot and romance, not too heavy handed with the romance but it’s a solid presence. Fae, polyamory, inclusive in a natural way, this checked all the boxes for me! There is a bit of a stalker/darker mmc theme at the beginning, but Lykos turns out to be such a cinnamon roll (secretly) that it didn’t bother me or feel like a dark romance. Lots of complex themes throughout and from what the ending looks like, the ones not explored in this book are getting their time in the second!
Overall, a fun, fast read with depth and a sprinkle of spice! Looking forward to seeing how the trio handle book two!!
