This book was torture to get through. The first book? Amazing. 5 stars easy. This book? 2.5 stars, maybe 3. However that is being generous. The self loathing of the characters, secrets they kept from each other was just so draining. And the bad luck that these two had was just awful. Can these two not catch break? I don’t want to read a book that makes me feel depressed for the characters the entire time. & the sex that was spread all throughout the book was honestly a bit ridiculous. Is this really an appropriate time to be having sex? How can you even think of sex while stranded on an island stuck in a cave? Hoping the next book is better.
