Somehow I just knew this book was going to be good and I was right! This story follows Lila who is a thief in the most magical place in America as she struggles to survive on her own. Despite her loner mentality when she sees a fight happening nearby she decides to step in and help. Her help leads to her saving the life of one of the most prominent members of one of the ruling Families. Now she has to deal with Family politics, assassins, and hiding her magic just to continue her survival. This is definitely an extremely well done YA fantasy and I will immediately be reading book 2!
