This was great. As I said in my Alloy of Law review, the evolution of Scadrial and the characters' banter is amazing. And while Alloy of Law was light-hearted, this is darker and more in line with some of the other Sanderson books.
What really made this book for me though was the tie ins with the original trilogy and the ending. I can't really say anything about the tie ins without spoiling stuff so yeah, about the ending. The reveal at the end was quite unexpected, to say the least, and sets up some interesting dilemmas.
Considering everything, I think I like this better than Alloy of Law, but its pretty close.
