Abandon by Meg Cabot

5.0

Can I just say how much I LOVE Meg Cabot??! She is my favorite author. She is amazing and her books never fail to put me in a good mood! I know that I can pick up any book of hers confidently, knowing that I will enjoy it. This book was no different. It looks like it is going to be a GREAT series! This book did a really nice job of setting everything up and from the way this book ended, I cannot wait to read the next book ASAP!

I am loving my mythology books recently and this is such a great addition to their ranks. After reading The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter I kind of fell in love with Hades. So I could not wait to pick up another underworld mythology series. This book was very different than The Goddess Test, but it was equally wonderful!

I liked the setting. I am from Florida so I know the keys area well and I liked seeing everything come to life in a setting that I could easily imagine. Pierce is really cool, and I felt so bad for her that trouble always seems to follow her around, and as a result people don't think very highly of her. I hate it when character's that I like get a bad rep by the other characters. I do hope they get what they deserve in the other books. And there is just something about John...I want to see more of him, for sure!

Abandoned incorporates the concept of the Furies into this book, and I really enjoyed that aspect. It was a good addition to the mythology. I was interested in this book from page one, but once I got to the middle of the book I could not put it down. I seriously did not even want to stop reading to go and eat dinner with my family.

Great book, this series looks like it is going to be AWESOME!
