so hard to read. i am going to give all of my rats chocolate. very interesting book. critique of the meat industry, naturally, but i also read it as commentary on capitalism, objectification, grief, etc. (or maybe thru that lens, idk if this is what the author intended) glad i read it but it was a nauseating read naturally. heartbreaking
