I’m so glad I finally read this...2 years after leaving Pittsburgh. Oh well! Carson certainly deserves the credit she didn’t get to receive for explaining complicated and important environmental issues in a down-to-earth narrative form.
I’d be interested in reading a follow-up that updates some of the situations she discussed and what they look like now, 50 years later.
It doesn’t seem to be a strech to say that her writing changed the course of how we treat the environment. More still needs doing.
