We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
inspiring

Another book club read!
I never considered myself a feminist and after reading this book, I don’t think my mind has changed. I won’t deny feminism is necessary in some cultures, but as a white woman in the western world, I have never been met with inequality myself. Nevertheless, it was interesting to read the perspective from someone who has faced inequality.
My mother made twice the amount my father did and she was a proud woman. They taught me that if I work hard, I can get whatever I want. So in that regard the book was right, I suppose: teach your children right and they won’t know inequality.
Overall, a very interesting book and I’m happy to have read it.
