Prologue to Murder by Lauren Elliott
5.0
A great second read of this cozy mystery series
This is the second book of the beyond the page cozy mystery series. Addie lives in a seaside town that her ancestors were founders of. She owns and works at a book store in the small town. Addie finds her name splattered with lies in the gossip column of the local newspaper. The column suggests she is responsible for the local librarian, June Winslow’s disappearance. June is then found dead, and it looks like murder. Someone is trying to frame Addie and destroy her reputation. Its a good thing Addie is friends with the chief of police, Marc. Although their romantic connection is growing, a wedge is dropped between them when Marc’s ex moves back to town. Despite the rumours, Addie doesn’t know anything about the murder, but she intends to find out in order to clear her name and reputation. The hunt for clues begins and as they start to unravel it seems there are a lot of cooks in the kitchen when it comes to the murder of June and the sabotage of Addies reputation, but is it all connected?
Another cozy read that kept me engaged the whole time. I find in really enjoying this cozy mystery series.
