dnf. This is actually my second attempt to read it, after stumbling across an interesting bit on tvtropes about the book. But I can't get through a page without my mind wandering. Everything is described in tedious, irrelevant detail -- Grace hopes they build more buildings, how nice. And the details aren't even consistent from one page to the next -- is George above or below the porch? He's first stated to be below the porch, but Thaniel merely had to step onto the porch to physically shake him awake -- so it's not even easy to picture what's going on.
