Indians on Vacation by Thomas King

4.0

Aging writer Blackbird Mavrias and his partner Mimi tour Europe in search of Mimi's great-uncle's lost medicine bundle. The book meanders and branches off in new directions with a kind of vacation energy: mostly slow-moving contemplation. During their time in Prague Blackbird flashes back to other travels and reflects on colonial, racist and class injustice. Not my favourite book of King's because of the pace and the challenge I had following the flashbacks (I listened to the audiobook version so any visual clues about moving back and forth in time that might've been there were missing).
