A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks

I can't abide authors who write about teachers despite not knowing anything: that teacher would never be so unprofessional as to discuss with a parent her opinion of other teachers, nor would previous teachers have not made Miles unaware of Jonah's difficulties. Also, if, in the space of one year, with no specific support, the author believes a child can go from not being able to read, write or do basic maths, to being level with his peers, he's deluded. Furthermore, the parent had never met his child's 3rd grade teacher? I also wouldn't believe for a moment that Miles' in-laws would have left for Florida after their daughter's death and not stayed around for the sake of their grandchild. I gave up at that point as there's a limit on my incredulity.
