Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson
5.0
Genuinely, I think this is the best book I’ve read so far this year.
I am a person that takes chapter-by-chapter notes of every individual relevant detail when I’m reading whodunnits - or in this case “who’s dead?” and whodunnit - though, for separate threads of the same plot. Even I didn’t figure it out by the end, and yet… when it was all laid out in front of me, everything made perfect clear sense.
It’s unique in voice, and it concept- something I’m always looking for when it comes to crime & mystery novels - it’s heartwarming, and funny, and earth shattering, and sob inducing at times.
All I want is to be able to read this book for the first time again, so I cannot wait for the sequel!
