Mil soles espléndidos by Khaled Hosseini

5.0

It is so emotionally hard when you are reading a book about any kind of conflict, or war. When you read about people in pain, people whose life has changed. In Khaled Hosseini's book I've found a different pain. Yeah, my heart is aching for this characters, but it's, most of all, aching for all the people in Afghanistan, and Syria and Iraq, and Yemen, and every country that is in war, and that has been for years, whose lives are like this, and even worse. I wish I could feel some compensation, I wish I could say "I'm so glad this suffering is over in Afghanistan" but I can't. And it hurts.
Everyday I wish I could do something. I can't do much now, but someday I will. I want to.
And I want to read this books again one day, and say that I'm glad that suffering is over.
And Khaled Hosseini, you made me feel. You're the best.
