This middle-grade paranormal horror book does a great job of exploring toxic friendships, grief, and loneliness in an age-appropriate way. While the twist may be easy to guess for an adult, I think the book will be surprising and creepy for middle-aged readers. I enjoyed this overall, my only issue is that pranks are a big part of this book, and they were really cruel, I don't like to read about pranks, so I didn't love that but it's a personal preference thing.
