This is one of the best thrillers I have read and I have to admit the twist got me. It really wasn’t what I expected. Quincey is one of three final girls. Girls who have survived a horrific mass murder. Quincey lost all of her friends when they were all stabbed to death during a getaway weekend at a cabin. However, due to the trauma, she has amnesia about exactly what happened. The world thinks that it is all solved and wrapped up neatly. Suspect killed by the heroic cop who rescues her. But when another final girl ends up dead by apparent suicide and the other, who hasn’t been heard from in years, turns up at Quincey’s doorstep, Quincey is forced to face the trauma of her past despite the ideal life she is convincing herself she built. And it goes on a roller coaster from there. Is anyone who they seem to be? Even Quincey?
This book is intense and take you for a wild ride right until the very end. Just when I thought I had the characters worked out and settled, Sager rips that to shreds and I was left to try again. I will be thinking of this one for awhile!
