The Weight Within by Gwen Martin

5.0

I really love Gwen’s writing. It’s gorgeous and emotional and just completely draws me in. It’s pretty and raw. Can’t get enough.

The Weight Within is a beautiful portrayal of two men whose issues leave them struggling to find roots and happiness. I really like both of them. They are very relatable and draw out protective feelings.

In ‘The Wild Within’, Tristan comes across as uber-put-together and in control. Put here we get to see past the front he puts up. His vulnerabilities are laid bare. Especially when confronted with Kurt who appears to be calm and confident. It masks a lot of pain.

It’s not an easy coming together, especially with management playing games with them, but their chemistry is stunning, and their growth throughout their journey was wonderful.

I like this story because though it highlights the importance of therapy, it also emphasizes other methods of coping like routine, hobbies, and activities.
