The Address by Fiona Davis
4.0
3.75.
This book’s star rating probably benefited from me reading so many subpar books before it. But after so many meh reads, I was ready to return to the comfort of an author I usually enjoy. It was the right call.
This isn’t my favorite Fiona Davis book, but it was a solid offering. A few of the characters were kind of one-nite, but the two main characters were engaging. I guessed a couple of twists but a few caught me off-guard, which was pleasing.
I enjoy how she wraps up history into her novels. Here, the growth of NYC and specifically the opening of The Dakota. The more recent timeline, which is usually present-day, came up to the 80s, making some interesting plot points and settings.
