Here For The Cake by Jennifer Millikin

3.0

Here for the Cake was my first book by Jennifer Millikin and it was a really enjoyable read.

"You're my favourite story. The best I've ever heard, and the best I'll ever tell."

Old college rivals, Paisley and Klein, meet by chance years later embarking on a mutually beneficial fake relationship. This story was a lot of fun with great chemistry between the MCs, open communication, witty banter and swoon worthy romance.

Klein was oozed broke boyfriend energy. Paisley’s character arc was a highlight and I enjoyed seeing her character growth.

Despite all that, the reason why my rating is not higher, is that by the end of the book, I wasn’t left with that feeling where you’re still thinking about the book, the characters and wishing you could stay with them longer. I liked it but didn’t love it. That’s just personal preference and I would still recommend this book if you like:
