lauren asher is just that emotional slow burn girl!!!! i don't know how she does it but she always makes me burst into tears. her storylines are so beautiful and poignant and hopeful and takes us on such a journey with her characters. 

she crafts such special relationships not only between our main couple but with the supporting characters as well. ellie and rafa's relationship were just as amazing as ellie and nico's and rafa and nico's relationships. i loved their little family so much and i love that her books take us on a JOURNEY and doesn't beat around the bush with the hard conversations. 

rafael!!!!! now that's my favorite broken grumpy man to ever exist! his and ellie's love story was a slow and steady one but so worth the wait bc they took the time to understand each other in such a beautiful way and ugh i just love their love!! 

also this is such a fresh take on the single dad x nanny romance, and y'all are in for a treat!  

i'm even more intrigued about the mysterious lorenzo and his book AND am i sensing potential spin-off series???? i'm screaming!! i love the LALU (lauren asher literary universe) and her cameos sm!!
