Blessings in Disguise by Nancy Mehl

I keep considering where I should start with this review, the genres or the book content. I think I will begin with genres, because unless you enjoy both Christian fiction *and* cozy mysteries, the odds are that this isn't the series for you. I happen to enjoy both. Moving along to the book, itself, I have to honestly say that the writing isn't going to win any awards, but I really liked the setting and I loved the characters. As for the story, it was in turns sweet, funny, and just enough creepy to keep it firmly in the category of cozy mystery. I liked that the mystery wasn't a murder to solve (not that I don't enjoy those as well), which was a nice diversion from the norm, but it was almost *too* easy for the reader to know whodunnit rather early on. It took me a little longer to recall which clues tipped me off, but I even figure those out long before Cheryl caught on. Regardless, this was an easy, fun, feel-good book, and I will certainly look forward to more titles coming out of Sugarcreek.
