I’m straight up gaGGED. there is not a better sequel in the fantasy world point blank period I will take that til the end!!! I SAID IT. Two twisted crowns left mE BENT and TWISTED at what occurred I cannot even comprehend this. not even 3 days ago I left a review for One Dark Window in which I expressed enjoyment but predictability and plot holes. It’s as if the author said oh bet? Cause she took everything I mentioned feeling we needed more of (IONE) and took it up 500 notches. Gillig showed tf up for this one. RACHEL LEFT NO CRUMBS!!!!!!!! NONE! ATE ATE ATE WE FEASTED FR. I am in such peril at this ending my HEART. I had tears in my eyes. I didn’t want it to be over. 

I feel so dramatic but this book has left an impact in a way I cannot even explain…I am reeling at its end…like even though I again predicted one of the major unveilings (Ravyn’s name), it didn’t even matter because the storytelling??? The adventure?? The gut wrenching pain??? The hope?? The LOVE?? The multiple pov knocked me right out my seat. Fell in love with Nightmare by the end; mama been through some trauma but his journey is slay (Writing that sentence came organically and reading it back is such nonsense I lol what am I saying). Ione and Elm were everything. The magic? The cards?? The origin stories?? The trees???! The spirit of the wood?!! Y’all…chefs kiss. This was so well done. I could ramble and spew so much more but it wouldn’t even be coherent nor would it do it justice….if you’re looking for me, i will be squealing crying throwing up about this book with Alexa 


* My only thing that was a major eye roll that I also cackled thinking about is how these families are so white (I assume) to the point that the same significantly recognizable facial features are still present in family members 500 years later. wild lmaooo
