As a fan of The 1975, I knew I needed to read this book after seeing the Author promoting it on TikTok. My husband bought this one for me for my birthday which I am so thankful for. Ramsey has included important cultural context which helps the reader understand the landscape surrounding the band even if the reader isn’t someone super knowledgeable of them. The way the author dissected the albums made me reminisce back to when I first discovered them and made me feel as if I was falling in love with the band all over again. Now, this book is self published I believe so there are errors in spelling and grammar a few notable times and typically I do get bothered by this in books but having seen the author’s videos and knowing this is an indie book I am able to look past them for the most part and not knock it too hard. Ive been a fan of The 1975 for over 10 years and I still learned some new things. If you’re a fan of The 1975 this is a must-read.
