I’ve enjoyed many of the authors books over the years. He helps me understand sometimes complex problems and people and social structures. He has loads of empathy and this shines in Rough Sleepers. Kidder helps illuminate people who tend to be overlooked or even ignored - the homeless or unsheltered. He often disappears from the narrative to give proper focus on the people who interest him. This book has the promise of stimulating dialogue and public policy change. I recommend it.
