A story which takes place during the summer time, ideal for the cold weather right now! It felt like a warm escape and it reads really fast.
Brother’s best friend meets a summer escape: what could go wrong?! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the book, fully got the summer energy and the time spent on the beach. As I’m cuddled up in blankets, this felt ideal. 😂 it’s also quite fast-paced in case you want to get through a story quickly!
There’s palpable chemistry between Tegan and Micah. Lots of interactions, heated moments and heartfelt experiences and confessions. I would have loved to get more time with them though. As the story is meant to take place during the summer, it felt as if we didn’t get enough time with the two of them to testify to the strength of their relationship. And the epilogue only took place a few weeks later. I feel like a bit more time or, perhaps, a second epilogue would’ve made their relationship more convincing.
Overall, this book gives good vibes and it’s an easy read to consume! ❤️
