I'm not sure how far I made it through the Chronicles of Narnia as a kid. I know I read at least 3 or 4 of them, but I don't think I finished the series - and I didn't remember this one. I'm reading them in chronological order this time, which places it third, rather than fifth as it would have been in my first reading. This time through, this is my favorite story so far. A great fantastical story with beautiful descriptions and strong characters, children and horses alike.
