In the last installment of The Bergman Brothers series, we finally get the love story for our favorite hopeless romantic, Viggo. This was truly a beautiful ending to one of my favorite contemporary romance series. Viggo and Tallulah are amazing, imperfectly perfect characters and I loved every minute of their story.
I have been waiting for Viggo's story, and his story was definitely worth the wait. He's an optimistic, hopeless romantic full of joy, love, and loyalty, and yet he admits his loneliness among his family members - who he helped find each of their own happily ever afters.
Enter Tallulah Clarke, sister to one of Ziggy's (Viggo's sister) best friend. Viggo met Tallulah during his one semester in college and fell for her, but he was under the impression that she wanted nothing to do with him. Presently, Tallulah is reeling from losing her friend group after a break-up and struggling trying to finish writing her book. Chloe realistically writes Tallulah as someone struggling to love due to her dysfunctional upbringing. Her character growth was phenomenally written and I think anybody can identify with some aspect of Tallulah.
Viggo and Tallulah embody the 'black cat/golden retriever' vibe, and I loved their dynamic so much. They helped each other grow, achieve their goals, and supported each other no matter what. Chloe writes the best romance stories, and she always includes so many swoon-worthy lines:
"And my heart was meant to be with yours. It is yours. It always has been... My heart has been, and always will be, only and forever yours."
"I'm not love expert, but I think I just might be an expert on loving you."
I am going to miss the Bergman's, the A-Frame, and those Bergman Brother Summits. The parts of this book that made me cry were the touching moments between all of the different family members. Chloe's stories bring me so much joy - I am always smiling when I'm reading her work. She writes with her entire heart and always takes great care with her characters. Chloe gave us a beautiful world and a wonderful family - and this series will be one I read again and again.
