Story one:
To much took place off page. I kept waiting for the “toxic” part to happen. I guess one person’s toxic is another person’s “that’s just poor communication and not being honest with your partner.” Also warning no HEA or HFN, not really.

Story two:
Everyone needs to read this story. If you are the type to pick and choose in an anthology even short ones. Then choose this one!!

Story three:
To many things I don’t enjoy to finish

Story four:
I’m filing a formal complaint! Why would you draw me in with a story that good and then leaving hanging like this?!? I need the rest!! Right now!!

Story five:
There is a reason she’s one of my favorite authors! Her beautiful prose and ability to make me connect and love a character so deeply is the other. This was sweet romance, a vividly painted setting and world, and the only story in the collection with a clear HEA. But I absolutely still need more.

Overall: no specific theme very general. The varying degrees of sci-fi and the different takes was good. Overall it’s a solid collection. Loving 3/5 and liking the 4th with only one DNF which was solely based on personal preferences. I’m giving this a solid 3.75 I really just needed a heads up to expect open/inconclusive endings and I think my heart would have handled things better. I will definitely be on the lookout for this groups upcoming anthologies and be getting into the one other that is out!
