Purity in Death by J.D. Robb

5.0

I liked the premise of this one, and I think it's especially apt in the wake of the technology explosion of the last five or ten years. It's also a constant issue, vigilante justice. There are those who swear by it, and those who fight against it, for a myriad of reasons. I believe in a justice system that punishes the guilty and aquits the innocent, and even though the system we have right now doesn't always get everything right, it's the kind of system we can change. People who are willing to go outside the law to mete out justice often begin to enjoy it. And eventually they think they are above the law, better than the law. Eve Dallas is proof that you can stay within the boundaries of the law and still catch killers and blood thirsty vigilantes.
