Pretty mid book tbh...
I was very much I intrigued by the premise but I found the novel quite superficial and boring, it is supposed to be a romance but apart from Harper's crush on Si, the romance is not romancing. It is very superficial, the relationship between them is not developed, yes they fuck and have some deep conversation but honestly I didn't see where they love each other. Sure there's physical attraction, but not much more.

  • For me the reader is influenced to think that they like each other because of Harper's crush which emphasizes the "love" she feels for Simon through her pov. However, not once I felt like Simon liked Harper romantically .
  • I also didn't like how as soon as she got out of a toxic relation where she was abused she started to consider Simon romantically when she realized she still have feelings for him. I find that unrealistic but honestly it's not the worst issue with the novel so who cares really...

  • The ending is open, they are "together" but are getting to know each other (as it is said in the book)

To sum up It felt like the preliminaries of their love story, which makes the book quite boring and underwhelming since we expected  a developed romance novel.
