I loved being introduced to a superhero loving queer black girl, but the coming to terms with her gender attraction fizzles as the story progresses. Overall, this story is about Ellie trying to keep two secrets hidden, but naturally things don’t go as planned. Ellie navigates a new found spotlight while managing lots of hard feelings and questions. Such a great story set up, and loved that she saves herself. I am left wanting more from the climax of the book, and more content from the resolution.
