Bullshit Jobs: A Theory by David Graeber

informative inspiring medium-paced

4.5

This book is another excellent one from Graeber. The only reason I say 4.5 stars is because most of it is a reflection on anecdotal evidence, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it makes the book not as "academically rigorous" as Debt.

Nevertheless, this book is still important, and it asks the interesting question of why some jobs seem totally worthless. These jobs are, after all, the very jobs that capitalism promised to eliminate due to concerns about "efficiency," so why do they still exist?

As it turns out, you might just have a bullshit job yourself!
