Another great story from this world. Loved the characters, the main and secondary alike, and I love the infusion of the burbon world.

With this one, the author starts out with a bang and how these two become enemies to lovers, and I was intrigued from the start.

The one thing, and it was the same for book one, is that the suspense plot line does not feel woven into the romantic plot line. They run separately and cross sporadically because the FMC or MMC are involved. The suspense plot could also use a bit of development. This one had secret investigations, criminal activity in the horse racing world, and it just didn’t seem like enough to be such a huge part of the FMC’s motivation to be back in town, the issues with her sister, and then the climax of the story as it is a suspense romance.

I still love this world, the characters, the brothers, and this heroine in particular. Definitely would recommend. Can’t wait for the next one!
