I struggled to rate this book. I like so much of it, but the actual mystery in it feels forced and contains some clues that don’t feel as real as so much else in the story does. The story of Barbara recovering from being paralyzed from the waist down after being shot is what makes this a worthwhile read, though. That part has so much great character development. I also loved the artwork, which contains some clever, subtle touches.
