A coming-of-age novel about Griffin, a 14-year old actor living in NYC in the 80s. It's impossible to read this and not become invested in Griffin - we're with him for an entire year, and it's very 80s, very NYC, very slice-of-life. The characters are nuanced and well-developed - there's lots to unpack and discuss. The adults in Griffin's life especially. Yikes. This book is long but very immersive. I really enjoyed my time spent with Griffin.
