The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis

This part was also an entertaining adventure, but couldn't completely fascinate me. The journey across the ocean, the mystical islands and the sometimes fascinating challenges offered magical moments, but overall stayed a little flat (which of course should not be forgotten, as this is still a children's book).

Eustace, who is newly introduced in this book, was really annoying at first! He was a real pain with his selfish and rude behaviour towards Lucy and Edmund. He simply acted rude and self-absorbed. But his development over the story was surprising and well done.

The ending was very melancholy, especially because it became clear that Lucy and Edmund would not be able to return to Narnia.
