🎀 Tricked my fellow MacHalos into Buddy Reading dis with me! Muaxaxa! 🎀

I am confused. This was weird.

I liked Cole and Jack was meh. As for Nikki, I understand her, I do, but I don't really like her.

Like many have said the first half if the book was not as good as the second. This is what I was referring to when I said this was weird. Somehow if we didn't get to read the things in the first half we wouldn't be able to relate to anything that followed. It was both needed and unneeded at the same time.

The mythology here has potential.

I was excited cause I had read that this wasn't the typical YA book. The heroine didn't fall victim of the handsome villain/anti-hero. Which gives this book points as my friend Anne already said in her review. Actually I agree with most of my friends' reviews for this book, cause it's that kind of book. You know the one, the seesaw book.

But as I started reading I had this niggling feeling at the back of my brain and as i reached the 25-30% point I realised what it was: I have read this setting before. The character relationships, I've read the same thing before. The Fall of Angels Series by [a:Keary Taylor|3420702|Keary Taylor|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1315517342p2/3420702.jpg] has the same. Hell, even the villain/anti-hero have the same name, Cole. And I have here almost the same feelings I had for those characters, although that heroine was far worse that Nikki so we have that going for us.

Like that series I really hope Cole gets his Evily Ever After here otherwise I will be pissed.

To stop with the rambling: I am really really curious to see where this is going. Onwards!

P.S.: To anyone wondering, I would have become queen in a nanosecond and most of you would have been dead by now. Not to be immortal, just to kill people. ♥ (^_^)
