Keegan’s debut collection of stories, and this focuses on a mixed bunch of characters.
One thing that struck me with all these stories is the focus on the everyday, what could be termed mundane, is decided with warmth and it’s hard not to fall a little under their spell. Many of the characters were not particularly pleasant, and I found myself frustrated by them ending just as things were getting interesting-my age-old issue with short stories!
