Jaqueline Woodson is truly amazing in how she can break your heart and put it back together within the same book. A heartbreaking and heartwarming story about kids who all are struggling with different turmoil but learn to lean on each other. The whole message of harboring the people around you that Woodson highlights throughout the entire book was absolutely beautiful. I can always count on Jacqueline Woodson’s books to make me feel so deeply and pull out the ugly crying.
