There's Always This Year: On Basketball and Ascension by Hanif Abdurraqib

challenging informative reflective medium-paced
No rating because this is a memoir! Highly recommend reading with your ears

This Ohio centric book made me homesick for the land knee high by the Fourth of July corn where people proudly donned their burnt LeBron James jerseys when he came back to the Cavs in 2014. This was both a homecoming and a reckoning with my home state, and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the memoir How Far the Light Reaches.
