The Runaway Road by Devney Perry was a surprise book – I had absolutely no inclination that this talented author was releasing a new book to start off a whole new series that looks to be all about the journey of finding oneself!

Londyn is going through a major upheaval in her life; she just divorced her lying; cheating husband – now she is on a path with an urgent need to find herself; and to do that she decides to go on a road trip; and maybe just maybe find a lost friend.
Her plans take a detour when she has an accident and meets a man; she has an intuition will change the course of her life.

Brooks (sighs dreamily) is a man who is solid to his core; he takes care of his family with utmost devotion; and it is something a woman like Londyn with her emotionally stunted childhood could never ignore.

Their connection is instantaneous; and one that neither of them ever resists – their time together is short; but that time ends up defining not just their lives; but themselves as well!

Compared to the author’s previous works; Runaway Road is a whole lot sweeter and shorter – but I still enjoyed reading this beauty; and I am really excited to see where this series goes next!
