Ricochet by River Hale

This book completely blew me away! Ricochet was everything I wanted in a dark hockey romance and then some. If you love dark romances like I do, this one is a must-read. That said, it’s best to dive into this story blind (unless you have triggers—definitely check the warnings first).
This book strikes a perfect balance between all the things I crave in a story: actual hockey scenes (yes, please!), a compelling plot, plenty of spice, and raw emotion. But the real highlight for me? Callum and Stone. The way they’re drawn to each other is magnetic, and I could feel the intensity of their connection with every page. That push-and-pull dynamic, the reluctance and inevitability of them giving in—it hooked me completely. I couldn’t put the book down!
If dark, emotional romances with a splash of hockey sound like your thing, don’t sleep on this one. It’s the perfect mix of grit, heart, and heat!
