The concept - a Why Choose Hockey Romance - intrigued me and seemed like something I would enjoy reading, but the grammar is so bad. There is a comma splice in nearly every other sentence and the verb tenses are inconsistent. The dialogue is also stilted and unnatural. Usually, I'm willing to push through writing that might not be the epitome of craft, but the prevalent errors were so distracting, it was just too much to bother reading past the first chapter and a half.
